When Dave was a little boy, his older brother, fifteen years his senior, was already a student at the university. He studied information technology, which was not as well developed as it is now, of course. But the equipment that Daniel kept at home was something miraculous for Dave. He spent hours in his brother"s server room and played with the stuff. Of course, Dan knew nothing about it. If he had, he would have certainly scolded his little brother and Dave would have never had the guts to enter the room without consent again. But since his older brother was frequently absent, and the room was always open, he sneaked by his father"s bedroom and disappeared into the small and dark room. The room was full of stuff that was yet unused. rack accessories and old equipment, computer parts, cables, plugs and strange cabinets. The air conditioning was on and an odd sound was coming from one of the cabinets. Dave often played with the items, although he didn"t know, and couldn"t possibly understand, what each of the rack accessories had been made for. He invented is own combinations, imagining that he was a crazy scientist designing his own time travel machine. Whenever he heard his older brother"s motorcycle in front of the house, he knew it was time to put everything in its place and leave the room as quickly as possible.
